The Woman of Great Faith

When Jesus said to the non-Hebrew woman who begged for healing, "It is not right to take the children's bread and give it to the dogs," one assumes He was speaking of she.  But what if in fact Jesus was speaking to her but referring to they, the unbelieving crowd of onlookers, who did not see Who and what was passing by just then...

And if her response be read in this context, "But the dogs eat the crumbs which fall from the table" means something entirely different.  Now it means "Do please issue the command even in the midst of all these unbelievers, I will carry your Word in my faithful heart for i alone see You now".
